Pankratz Manufacturing Ltd. provides custom manufacturing services to one of the largest Energy Systems and Lumber Drying Equipment manufacturer in Canada, producing kiln carts.

Kiln carts are being used in lumber drying facilities, also called kilns, to reduce the moisture content of wood. Lumber is being stored multiple feet high on the kiln carts and being carted into the lumber drying facilities. Once the lumber is dried to the specified moisture content, the lumber on the kiln carts are moved out of the lumber drying facility for further processing. The main purpose for lumber being dried in kilns, is to reduce the weight, increase strength properties, improve resistance to bugs/fungus and make the lumber more stable and less susceptible to shrinkage.

Our convenient location in central Canada and southern Manitoba, allows us to manufacture larger production quantities for a competitive price so our customers can compete on projects that are geographically further away from their home base.
